RPL is a formal assessment process that recognises skills and knowledge you have gained through industry experience. You must demonstrate competency against national standards.
Yes. Statements of Attainment are issued by our partnered Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
No. This is for experienced lash artists who are already servicing clients.
That is acceptable. RPL assesses your competency, not where you trained.
No. All candidates must demonstrate competency across the full unit requirements.
We have a program for educators to offer their past students RPL through us, please head to our ILM Pro Partner Program for more information on becoming an RPL partner with ILM.
Already Working as a Lash Artist or completed a private lash course?
Formalise Your Experience with Nationally Recognised Units through Recognised Prior Learning.
If you want to:
• Strengthen your compliance
• Future-proof your career
• Align with an RTO
• Deliver accredited training in future
• Operate at a higher professional standard
You will need nationally recognised units.
Before I aligned with an RTO partner, I completed my own RPL.
Compliance matters. Authority matters. Standards matter.
This pathway exists for experienced lash artists who are already competent and ready to formalise it.
This RPL pathway is for lash artists who:
• Are currently servicing clients
• Have completed private or in-house training
• Have real-world experience
• Can demonstrate safe and compliant procedures
• Are ready to be assessed against national standards
This is not for beginners.
This is not a “learn how to lash” course.
This is an assessment pathway only.
What is Recognised Prior Learning?
Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is a process that assesses your competency—acquired through formal and informal learning—to determine if you meet the requirements for a unit of study.
You can use a variety of documentation to prove you are skilled in the relevant unit for RPL. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Records of completed training
- Assessment items
- Assessment records
- Declarations from your employer, colleague, trainer and/or
- A copy of your student records provided by ASQA.

What does this mean?
This means that your lash training in the chosen unit will be assessed and certified in line with standards provided by ASQA and our RTO. When deemed competent you will receive a Statement of Attainment which is nationally recognised in Australia's vocational Education System. Our courses and RPL are not simply private training courses, you will be provided with a recognised certification.
What is a Statement of Attainment?
A Statement of Attainment is issued by a Registered Training Organisation when an individual has completed one or more accredited units.

Yes. You’ll build your course using your own business name, branding, and student resources. Our program is designed to help you become an independent educator with your own signature training.
What makes this different from other lash educator programs?
You may have seen our logo on some of your fave educators posts or certificates already. We’ve trained over 1,000 lash artists worldwide and built Australia’s largest Lash & Brow Conference. Our course isn’t theory-heavy fluff — it’s actionable frameworks, templates, and systems that help you build a real education business that grows with you.
How do the payment plans work?
You can enrol with payment options from $50/week, $300/fortnight, or $333/month — whichever suits you best.
Payments are automatically processed and you’ll get full course access once your plan begins.

It’s self-paced. Most students complete it within 6–8 weeks, but you’ll have 12 months access to all modules and future updates, so you can move through it in your own time.
